You probably remember learning about slavery and Martin Luther King Jr. when you were in school, but what about Betty Shabazz and Marcus Garvey? Chicago Public Schools is rolling out some changes to the curriculum that will include more African American history and culture across all subjects. WBEZ’s Becky Vevea reports.
