In defiance to the state board of education, Chicago Public Schools last month said they wouldn’t administer the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, PARCC, exam to all students in the district. The test is part of the Common Core requirements. Now, in a reversal of that stand-off with ISBE, CPS CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett announced they would administer the test.
