Dillinger Museum creating concern for law enforcement community
Infamous gangster John Dillinger has an uneasy connection to Northwest Indiana. Dillinger escaped from the Lake County Jail in Crown Point, Indiana where he was arrested for the shooting death of an East Chicago police officer. Dillinger’s connection to Northwest Indiaia has long been a tourist draw but now a museum will be established in Crown Point, near the very jail he escaped from.
