Politicians love racking up endorsements. From newspapers to celebrities and fellow politicians, endorsements are like a stamp of approval that says, “I’m voting for this candidate, and you should too.”

Chance the Rapper on Tuesday endorsed mayoral candidate Amara Enyia. But do endorsements really matter? How much weight do you give a political endorsement from your favorite TV star, singer or even former president?
