Documentary shows life following a rock star

When the leader of the critically-acclaimed band The National asked his brother to come on tour as a roadie, he got more than he bargained for. Tom Berninger, brother of The National’s Matt Berninger, not only accepted, but grabbed a camera. He recorded the tour, but really showed the relationship between himself and his brother. Michael Moore called the finished film, Mistaken For Strangers, “one of the best documentaries about a band that I’ve ever seen”. Tom and Matt Berninger join us to talk about making the movie and their sibling rivalry. Mistaken for Strangers opens Friday at Facets Cinematheque. (Photo: Flickr/NRK P3)
