Wednesday marks the start of Eid al-Fitr, the breaking of the monthlong fast of Ramadan for billions of Muslims worldwide. Though Islam is the second largest religion in the world, there are still plenty of misconceptions surrounding its people and traditions. 

We talk to a member of The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago about what Eid means to Chicago’s Islamic community and about the 2016 Eid Expo taking place at Navy Pier this week.
