Evil Dead: The Musical brings camp and gore to the stage
Five college students decide to spend their spring break in an abandoned cabin in the woods. They find a spooky book and unleash hell on Earth. Sound familiar? That's the plot of Evil Dead: The Musical. The Canadian rock musical is adapted from Sam Raimi’s cult-classic horror films, the Evil Dead trilogy, and comes to Chicago with a healthy dose of kitsch and gore complete with a "splatter zone" for the audience. The show runs through October 12 at Broadway Playhouse. Two of the show's leads, Julie Baird and David Sajewich, join us to talk about the musical.
