Famed Chicago DJ John Records Landecker Inducted Into Radio Hall Of Fame
His mother’s maiden name was Records, and Records really is his middle name.
John Landecker has been a huge presence in Chicago radio for more than 40 years. First gaining fame at WLS-AM in the early 1970s, Landecker has been one of the key voices in the city’s top 40, rock, and oldies stations ever since.
Last week, Landecker was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame, and he’s just updated his biography, Records Truly Is His Middle Name.
Landecker joins us to talk about his prolific career and tells a few stories about the music he’s played and the folks he’s met along the way.
