A long-awaited Farm Bill could finally see a vote on Wednesday. The Farm Bill has struggled to gain support from both sides of the aisle, with the food stamp program-or SNAP-serving as a major point of contention. Many Republicans thought cuts to the program didn’t go deep enough, while Democrats feared slashing the program would attack the millions of Americans struggling with poverty.
