Federal railway administrator returns home

Some of the most pressing needs for infrastructure in the Midwest are in the rail industry. Chicago sees rail delays that affect daily commutes, and the entire country is worried about money as a short-term transportation funding bill expires later this year. Now, Chicago is welcoming back someone with a long career in the industry to assess the path to improved transportation in the region. Joe Szabo is a new Senior Fellow at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning after leaving his post at the Federal Railroad Administration.
