Former Washington Post editor played big role in defining moment in history

August marked forty years since Richard Nixon became the first President of the United States to resign from office. His hand was forced because of tapes he made incriminating himself, and because of information uncovered by two young reporters on the metro desk at the Washington Post. Harry Rosenfeld was the editor on that desk, and last summer he talked about what the events leading up to the president’s resignation looked like from where he was sitting in the newsroom.
