Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin first became fascinated with what it means to be a leader while teaching at Harvard in the 1960s.

Since then, Kearns Goodwin has written about former presidents Lyndon Johnson, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

In her latest book, Leadership in Turbulent Times, Kearns Goodwin explores what made these four presidents outstanding leaders and how we might use their examples to turn the current political page.
