How Bishops’ Synod on the Family could change Catholic church policy
Top Roman Catholic leaders from around the world are gathering in Rome for a rare meeting that starts Sunday. It’s called the “Synod on Family.” It includes bishops, other church officials and 14 married couples. Discussions over the next few weeks could eventually lead to changes in how the church handles divorce and remarriage.
