Not so long ago “xoxo” used to be the province of love letters and correspondence among family members and close friends. Increasingly, women are using it to sign off on emails to work colleagues, according to an article in the latest edition of the The Atlantic. Co-author Jessica Bennett argues the sign-off is as much about gender politics as it is the (de)evolution of written communication.
