Illinois Dems' New Interim Executive Director: 'We've Got A Chance To Flip Any Seat Anywhere In The State'

Earlier this month, a special panel named Rep. Christian Mitchell interim executive director of the Illinois Democratic Party. He’s the first black man to hold the position. He replaces, Tim Mapes, who served as executive director and House Speaker Michael Madigan’s chief of staff. Mapes was ousted after an aide accused him of harassment.  

State Rep. Mitchell joined Morning Shift to talk about his new role, and the state of the Democratic Party in Illinois ahead of the midterms is state representative Christian Mitchell.
