For more than a decade, TJ Jagodowski and David Pasquesi have taken a twist on the classic improv conceit. Instead of starting with a prompt from the audience, they perform a new and completely improvised 45-minute play every week. The pair has long called iO in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood home, but now that the theater’s moved to a bigger space in Lincoln Park, the duo is expanding their reach, too. They are operating a new space there called Mission and it will focus on a sketch comedy revue show. And, of course you can still catch TJ on Sonic commercials, and Dave on HBO’s Veep. We talk to TJ and Dave about plans for the new space, and what to expect.
