Index ranks relationship between universities and social mobility

Two web-based research and technology companies, CollegeNET and PayScale, have collaborated to create a new measurement system they're calling the "Social Mobility Index for U.S. Higher Education". The SMI evaluates and ranks American colleges and universities in terms of their success in preparing low-income students with the skills to compete for high-paying jobs after graduation. CollegeNET CEO Jim Wolfston joins us to explain the Social Mobility Index and his perspective on what some institutions are doing right and how others may be failing their students.
