Infrastructure Week Comes ‘Round Again

Here’s something you’ve heard before: It’s Infrastructure Week. For a while there, President Trump was making so many announcements, it felt like "Infrastructure Year". But this time around, the president isn’t involved. This Infrastructure Week is an annual event put together by industry leaders to highlight the state of our roads, bridges and public transit systems. Not a sexy topic, but certainly an important one, especially since the American Society of Civil Engineers gives the nation’s infrastructure a D+. Morning Shift talks to Kirk Dillard, Chairman of the Regional Transportation Authoritythat’s the agency that oversees Metra, Pace and the CTA—about the state of Illinois’ public transit system.

GUEST: Kirk Dillard, Chairman of the Regional Transportation Authority
