Two years ago, a Chicago police officer used racial slurs during the arrest of a tanning salon owner. Another officer punched her in the head while she was handcuffed, and it was all caught on video. WBEZ reported earlier this month that the city’s Independent Police Review Authority is recommending the two officers be suspended for those acts. But what the IPRA review doesn’t mention are other potential criminal activities by the police during the incident. WBEZ’s Rob Wildeboer has been looking into the issue and joins us with details.
