The Israeli Jazz & World Music Festival kicks off Tuesday - an event that celebrates the multicultural and collaborative spirit of Israel. One of Israel’s most acclaimed and celebrated female violinists and vocalists, Mika Karni, knows all about multi-culturalism in music. Her latest group, Kol Dodi, is a unique musical ensemble of Israeli Moroccan, Yemenite and Ethiopian musicians and singers that combine traditional Jewish melodies with those of the North and East African diaspora. Before Mika opens up the festival she stops by Morning Shift to talk about her music and share some songs.
