Jazz saxophonist and rock drummer pay tribute to John Coltrane

From studying, recording and touring with such names at Charles Earland and Von Freeman, playing on million-selling records, and hopping the globe with numerous bands of his own, Chicago sax-man Frank Catalano became a jazz legend well before he hit the age of 35. Jimmy Chamberlin started playing jazz drums as a kid, took all kinds of professional gigs, but hit it huge when he signed on to become the drummer for Smashing Pumpkins. Frank and Jimmy talk about their musical meeting of the minds, and play cuts from their tribute to John Coltrane.
