Leading up to State of the City address Thursday night, critics called on Mayor Lori Lightfoot to deliver on her campaign promises despite a budget deficit she’s now pegged at $838 million.

One group of Lightfoot detractors were several progressive aldermen, including Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa of the 35th Ward.
