Two North Shore locations with deep literary ties are facing a new future. The Lake Forest estate that is cited as the inspiration for The Great Gatsby’s Daisy Buchanan, received approval to be a subdivision. And, the Waukegan library where author Ray Bradbury once read could be turned into a museum featuring memorabilia from the author. Crain’s Chicago Business real estate reporter Dennis Rodkin has been following the changes to these landmarks over the years and he gives us some history and tells us what’s next for the landmarks.
