- Treehouse Records is part recording studio, part indie record label. Although they’ve only been on Chicago’s Northwest Side for just over a year, you might think that they’ve been recording garage rock and power pop since the ’70s judging by the serious, old school rock ‘n’ roll sound Treehouse churns out. Specializing in analog recording and releasing a series of live, mixed-to-mono compilations called the MonoMonthlyseries, the production house is feeding a niche market and building a collective of similar minded musicians.
