Former basketball star Earvin “Magic” Johnson was thrown into the spotlight this weekend in the midst of the controversy surrounding L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Sterlying is allegedly caught on tape chastising his girlfriend for posting a picture on Instagram with Johnson. The star slammed the team owner for the comments and now reports are circulating that he wants to take over the franchise from Sterling. “Magic” Johnson is in Gary, Indiana, Monday to celebrate a scholarship opportunity for Indiana students, and WBEZ’s Michael Puente will ask about that and the controversy swirling around Donald Sterling.
