Malian musician Fatoumata Diawara is on a tour of the US in support of her debut release, Fatou. Diawara, a resident of France, sings for peace in her ancestral land of Mali. She drops by the Morning Shift to talk about her socially conscious work and her music, and plays songs from her new release.
