They’re from California, but they’re called The Bronx. And they’re a hardcore punk outfit, doing pretty well for themselves. Then they fall in love with Mexican folk music, dive deep, and now they’re three albums into what most most people thought would be a lark. It’s not a lark, and it’s completely devoid of irony. It’s a bunch of guys who genuinely respect the music and want to put their own stamp on it. This time around, they’ve added some synths and electronics to push the boundaries a little bit further.
