Morning Shift - May 28, 2015

Saturday marks the last tour of Unity Temple, the famous church in Oak Park designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s closing to the public until 2017 for restoration. The congregation is moving to a new church while construction is underway. Reverend Alan Taylor, the senior minister joins us to talk about the move, and how a congregation reconciles the sometimes competing needs of a worship community, and a famous landmark. Also, we trace the history of gospel music, including some deep roots in Chicago. (Flickr/chrisjfry)
