National Infant Immunization Week kicks off Saturday
The recent outbreak of measles at universities is drawing attention to the need for vaccinations. The Centers for Disease Control encourages parents to immunize their children to minimize chances of contracting dangerous illnesses, but also to prevent a re-emergence of infectious diseases that were once deadly. Chicago Department of Public Health Director for Immunizations, Dr. Julie Morita, lays out the facts on getting vaccinated and how Chicagoans can get the shots they need.
