Monday is the deadline for submitting your comments on the issue of net neutrality to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler. If you haven’t been keeping up, net neutrality is the notion that, when it comes to the internet, no Website or entity or byte of information should be prioritized over another. The issue came to national attention after the FCC proposed a new set of regulations that would allow providers to charge a fee for so-called “internet fast lanes.” In the weeks leading up to the deadline for public comment, calls and comments have reportedly been flooding into the FCC and Congress and internet giants like Netflix, Reddit and others have protested as well. However, is public outcry moot? Dave Steer, Director of Advocacy at the Mozilla Foundation, checks in to recap the fight for net neutrality. Photo: Flickr/Free Press Pics
