In a world where viewers can watch whatever they want whenever they want thanks to DVR’s and streaming services, eyeballs on live events are precious to TV networks. NBC and Fox had big ratings successes with live productions of The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, and Grease. On Easter Sunday, NBC is trying again with a live concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar.
