New report focuses on use of big data in improving cities
As cities’ population booms, demands on infrastructure also grow. Places like Chicago are hoping that gathering and analyzing data from residents will allow municipalities to run more efficiently and effectively. A new report from the Chicago Council on Global Affairs explains how cities around the globe can use Chicago’s model as growth and modernization take hold. Jeff McCarter, part of the Council’s Emerging Leaders of Class of 2014, who compiled the report, explains the role of big data.
