New studies break down effects of different levels of exercise
Each time we work out we have to decide just how hard we want to push ourselves. Should our workout be enjoyable or do we have to push it past pleasant to see real benefits? Two new studies seem to argue for and against tough workouts. One shows that those who view their workout as unenjoyable exercise tend to reward themselves with unhealthy foods afterwards. The other indicates that it’s the intense workouts that really stress your muscles that result in significant fitness improvements.
