One year later, Safe Passage program gets financial boost

CPS’ safe passage program could see an uptick in staff. That’s after Gov. Quinn announced $10 million to help hire more workers to assist students on their commute to school. Officials say those dollars will add 27 routes during the school year. CPS’ Chief Safety and Security Director Jadine Chou will be out Tuesday along the routes and she checks in.
