Pension law struck down

Pension reform in Illinois hit another hurdle on Friday. A Sangamon County judge ruled that the current law is unconstitutional. Attorney General Lisa Madigan has already said her office will appeal that ruling. Unions are claiming a victory about the ruling, saying that state workers have a constitutional right to rely on their retirement funds. State Senator Daniel Biss is one of the principal co-authors of the pension bill and he joins us with his reaction to the ruling. Photo Courtesy of Facebook
