In 2010 oil giant Enbridge spilled more than 800,000 gallons of oil into Kalamazoo Rver in Michigan. It was the largest inland oil spills in U.S. history. Now, nearly five years later, the company has reached a $75 million settlement with the state. WBEZ’s Shannon Heffernan explains why the spill is relevant to people in the Chicago region.
