Playwrights bring lives of extraordinary women to the stage

On the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage, Chicago’s Theatre Seven celebrates some of the great women who shaped the city and its policies by bringing their stories to the stage. 100 Years of Extraordinary Chicago Women features the stories of nine local playwrights sharing stories of the people who helped pave the way for women in Chicago. Artistic Director Brian Golden and playwright Elaine Romero shares some highlights from the work. (Photo: Flickr/Library of Congress)
