Popular shows take on Atheism on the small screen

There has always been broadcasting by and for religious people, and the occasional program based on belief. But the “mass medium” of television has traditionally stayed away from subjects like non-belief or atheism that would upset “the masses”. The Chicago Sun Times’ Lori Rackl recently wrote about what she calls a “new breed of atheism on TV”. We talk to Rackl about how television is approaching the subject in new ways.
