One week ago, former Chicago Public Schools CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett resigned in the wake of a Federal investigation looking into her involvement with SUPES Academy. The investigation followed the Board of Education awarding SUPES a $20.5 million no-bid contract to provide training for school principals. What exactly constitutes “principal training,” and how do principals work day-to-day to put various initiatives into practice in their schools?
