The Republican candidate for Illinois governor says he would have vetoed the legalization of medical marijuana. Bruce Rauner is criticizing how companies put in bids for the very few licenses that allow them to grow or distribute medical marijuana in the state. Rauner says the state government is awarding the licenses in a secretive way. WBEZ’s Tony Arnold has more on Rauner’s claims, and Governor Pat Quinn’s response.
