Technology allows us to get our music without ever having to leave the house; whether it’s via Pandora, Amazon or Spotify. Before the advent of the internet though, the Record Store was not only the place to buy new music, but to chat up a record shop owner about upcoming music trends, spar over the merits the latest release with your friend and gaze up the album you wanted but couldn’t afford to buy. Record Store Day this Saturday celebrates that culture.
