Senator Lightford pushes for truancy in Illinois

When Colorado lowered the compulsory school age from 7 to 5 it helped raise attendance and third-grade test scores. Illinois is now looking to do something similar. Illinois State Senator Kimberly Lightford is sponsoring the bill and explains why she thinks the legislation is needed.
