Snuggle Up For Some Warm Winter Weather Cocktails

It’s not the blizzard of ‘67, but snow is on the way, and temps are dropping. It’s a good time to stay in, snuggle up and whip up a warm weather drink with or without alcohol.

Mixologist Erica Helms from Lula Cafe shared some ideas on how to warm up and tune out the winter woes while whipping up a couple favorites for host Jenn White to try:

Little Mystery (on the new Lula winter cocktail menu)

2 oz Mizu Shochu
3/4 oz Genmaicha green tea syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse
shaken, over ice, topped with soda, lavender sprig garnish

Best Friends Mom

1oz Scotch
1/2 oz Cherry Liqueur
1/4 Demerara sugar
pinch of salt, topped with hot coffee, whipped cream, and a salted cherry

Erica’s Hot Toddy

1.5 oz bourbon or aged rum
3/4 oz ginger syrup
1/4 oz Allspice Dram
1/4 lemon juice
add hot water, lemon wedge garnish
