A bill sponsored by U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, chairman of the Senate Veteran Affairs Committee, expanding health, education and other benefits for veterans that could cost $21 billion over the next 10 years made it over the hump Tuesday in the Senate. But for currents benefits available to veterans, some just may not know what they’re entitled. Craig Larsen, a regional director for the Veterans Administration and Marine Corps veteran, explains the benefits that veterans may be leaving on the table.
