Alone or with the Holland brothers, Lamont Dozier created some of the most recognizable songs in modern history. “Stop! In the Name of Love”, “You Can’t Hurry Love”, “Heat Wave”, “Jimmy Mack” and “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” are just some of the songs that brought him fame. Now, Dozier has penned the tunes for a brand new family musical that gets its premiere tonight in Chicago. He talks about the project and the music he created that became a soundtrack to a generation.
