Porgy and Bess is the Gershwin Brothers opera that was first staged in 1935; it has become an American classic. Now, soprano Adina Aaron is taking on the role of the much maligned Bess in Lyric Opera’s production of the story. Adina joins us to talk about the role and why she thinks the story remains relevant today.
