After news last month that a bid from the University of Chicago for the Obama Presidential Library was in jeopardy, the school unveiled somewhat new plans for the coveted space. Including the controversial proposal that would use public park space. Specifically Washington or Jackson parks on the city’s south side. Because it’s land owned by the park district, the city has to acquire it before anything can be done to it.
