St. Louis-and the country-await grand jury decision
Residents are awaiting a decision by a grand jury about the fate of police officer Darren Wilson. Wilson shot and killed unarmed African-American teen Michael Brown, which set off protests and brought national attention to what some in the community claim is race-based police violence. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon called for a state of emergency on Monday. St. Louis Public Radio reporter Tim Lloyd has the latest on how the community is preparing for the grand jury’s decision, and how life has already been altered while tensions have been building.
