Tuesday’s ballot included more than just candidates; there were five non-binding questions for voters. One included raising the state’s minimum wage to $10, a cause that Gov. Pat Quinn has rallied behind. Voters passed the referendum, but what’s its future when the legislature meets back up later this month? State Sen. Kimberly Lightford is a co-sponsor of the minimum wage bill. She anticipates the bill’s future, and how she expects her party to work with the new Republican Governor.
