Quiltmaking dates back to the 19th century and has an important impact on African American art. Melissa Blount, inspired by that history created a project called Black Lives Matter Witness Quilt in Evanston. She shares how she is using sewing circles to remind society of Black women and girls in Chicago who have lost their lives to violence.
